Dropped iPad now power lost black screen

I dropped my iPad, now it will not power on. Can it be repaired?

Options

Try a reset first. Hold the home and power buttons for 10 seconds and it should reboot.

If that doesn't work it will need to be opened and have the LCD cable reseated as it is likely that the cable got knocked loose when dropped. This is common in the iPad 2.
