iPhone not connecting to charger
A client brought a 5c to me that wouldn't work. I tried to connect it to a computer and then a charger, with no luck. I swapped out the battery, and it started. Still wouldn't connect. Charging port, right? Switched it. Still won't connect, although it's warning me that I have an illegal cable. Well, I tried four different lightning cables, two different transformers, and the direct USB connection to my computer. Got the same message every time. I've tried every trick listed here (hard resets, holding down the dismiss button while pulling out the cord, etc.) to no avail. I've seen where this might be a software issue or a logic board issue. But, since I can't connect to my computer, I can't update the software. Can anyone shed any light here?
Is this a good question?
