Replacement battery dies quickly.

I recently replaced a cattery in my co-workers iPhone 4 with a battery from iFixit. She is complaining that the replacement battery is dying faster than the original battery. Any ideas?

Is it charging? At all. How long to reach 100%? When did order battery? My thoughts are with the iPhone upgrade to the 5 and 6 recently whoever made the 4 battery stopped of late. I've got same issue on a 4s. But I'm also considering a failed mother board in my case.
