My iphone 5s has no light coming through the screen. The screen itself was checked, place in another phone, and it is OK. Also a working screen on my phone did not change the symptoms. If i shine a flashlight I can see there are images behind the black glass, they're just not coming through. The phone still works, Siri, calling, etc. I just can't see anything on the screen.

This is clearly means that no power goes to the backlight of your lcd.
You have 2 choices.
1. If you have a multimeter and soldering equipement I can help you troubleshoot and find the defective components.
2. If you live in the US, you can send your phone to Jessa from iPad Rehab. She is an expert in this field.
Its quite hard to do so I recommend option number 2 unless you want to learn this.
