suggestion on how to keep from breaking the fpc connector?

Any suggestion on how to keep from breaking the fpc connector? I have broken 5 and I'm losing plenty of money on these repairs

Plastic tools.

I have a set of dirt cheap plastic spudgers I use only for these type of connectors. The spudger will break before the connector will. I also have a plastic set of tweezers for other connectors like that. I think I may have spent $2 combined on those.

Any chance you have a link to those tools? I have broken too many connectors at this point. Are you prying a certain way? Thank you

Stop yanking the connector loose by the flex cable. That's generally what happened when I see these broken.

I don't really understand how people break these, My tally is beyond count and I haven't managed this yet.

I actually started with using a guitar pick under the connector and maybe have it a little too much pressure. Lately I have been using my finger nail and still pulling those teeth out. I'm going to start trying working it from both sides. I promise I'm being as gently as possible and still messing it up. I appreciate any and all tips.
