Lines on the screen,
Screen has lines both up and down. Is there anything I can do to fix this. Would buying a new replacement instead of the used one I bought help.

Could you post a picture?
Most of the time, it's the screen that is defect. But it could be your motherboard too. It would try a new screen first. If the second one has the same problem then the problem is on your motherboard.
