It is available from Crucial and a number of other sources. Amazon lists several b rands and you are best with a good name b rand not a generic. It is actually named as PC 8500 ddr3 running at 1066 MHz. If you have any doubts call Crucial and talk to them directly. I installed this ram in my MacBook Pro 2009 model with no problem. Upgraded from 4 to 8 Gig of memory for $50.
