No data connetion after replacing usb port

Hi!

I've replaced IO assembly following this guide: Nexus 7 I/O Assembly Cable Replacement a few months later I discovered that device only charges through USB, but is not transferring any data (doesn't see mass storage over OTG cable; when connecting to computer windows is not recognizing that a new device was connected and after that adb apparently can't see it).

I guess I screwed up something during repair, but would anyone be able to guess what should I try to re-repair now?

Cheers!

PS I used this one for replacement: http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/65368...

Answer this question I have this problem too

Maybe it is not in the connector properly. You could try reconnecting it again and see if that helps.

It could also be just a damaged component that you might have to replace again.

I tried reconnecting it, w/o success.

I'll order a new component to see if that helps
