Late 2009 MacBook not powering on, what could be the issue?

Hey guys,

After leaving my 2009 macbook uncharged for a couple of days it is no longer turning on. When I plug in the charger, I can hear the cd player spinning inside, and pressing the power button stops the spinning sound for a second or two. I have also tried to short circuit the power on the logic board which produces the same result (stops the spinning noise of the cd player or whatever).

Has anyone had this issue before? When I first removed the ram to try it fix it it beeped, but it no longer beeps when I remove the ram.

Furthermore, the keyboard had issues, I had to use an external keyboard due to the fact that the laptop keyboard wrote the wrong letters.

Please help asap! I don't want to risk buying a new logic board if it's not a logic board problem!

Thanks alot!!

This really sounds like spill damage and a shorted keyboard. Tell us more about the it showing the wrong keys.

The keyboard wrote charecters like É with many letters having tidles and things like that. I don't think it's a shorted power button due to it working perfectly for a long time, and every time I press the power button I can hear the CD drive stop spinning.
