The recovery partition that you want to delete from your computer is used if you need to restore your computer back to a factory default state. I would not recommend that you remove it. Though it shows that it is full, it is only used specifically for one purpose and does not negatively affect your system.

HP provides the article, HP PCs - Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 7) that can help if you ever need to recover your computer for the future.

HP also offers a recovery manager tools within Windows, that allows you to create a backup of the recovery to a USB disks or DVD. I do recommend doing this, if you need additional space on your computer. Once you create this backup you can remove the recovery partition and add storage to your hard drive.

If you decided that you want to create a backup and then remove the recovery, HP provides HP Notebook PCs - Removing the HP Recovery Partition.

As I mentioned before, use the recovery manager to backup Windows, so in case you need to re-install in the future, you can use the backup to do so.
