Charging base is bent
The charging port on the kindle is bent can it be fixed without having to replace the kindle ? My kindle is only a couple of months old

That's what a kindle does best, the charge ports love to die. Yes it can be replaced but does require some basic SMD soldering. I think I remember there only being 5 or 6 pins on the back of it and 4 through hole for supporting the charge port. I'd really recommend using a hot air station for the repair but you might can get by with using one of a few different soldering tricks to take multiple SMD pins off with an iron. If you aren't following me so far, you'd be well served to hire it repaired instead of trying it yourself. A word of caution, any "fix" you find on google involving super glue, epoxy, solder paste, etc. do not work and might damage your device beyond repair.
