Battery not charging and green light not on

While using my mac I noticed green light on charger was not lite and sure enough battery has now run out and I cannot power on computer

I have tested charger on different computer and tried other charger on my computer and charger seems fine

I had read differ posts and thought it may have been the io board so I have installed a new board which I found quite easy thanks to the very detailed description from this site but charging or light has not been fixed

I had previously spilt a small amount of water on keyboard but turn it upside very quickly but computer did not fire up at first but I dried out in sun and placed in a bag of rice and eventually computer came good and has been working great for at least a year

I have noticed some small green corrosion marks near some connection on board Around the battery connection section of board which I have cleaned up with a fine brush after disconnecting battery

Any info would be greatly appreciated as I enjoy trying to fix things but end to get my computer going again

Thanks in advance

Brad

Hi

I have removed logic board and from upper side or keyboard side of board it looks very clean with no sign of corrosion

However from under side I had noticed corrosion around a few components

What is best way to try and clean around components as a possible fix as it will be a shame to have to get new machine as it was working fine I just cannot charge it

I had a quote $720 for new logic. Board or on eBay $220 for a repair

Also can anyone show me where the Mos fet transistors and voltage comparator are located to see if it is one of the parts with corrosion

Thanks heaps guys

Doesn't look good here ;-{

You'll need to completely remove the logic board to inspect the other side. I suspect the damage is there. If you're lucky a little careful cleaning might bring your system back otherwise its time for a new logic board. The problem is the MOS-FET transistors which control the charging are likely blown as well as the voltage comparator logic from sorting out due to the corrosion.
