Why half of canon vixia - legria mini X screen is bleached?

i turned my camera one day and half of the screen is fine and the other looks bleached.

does anyone know the reason ?

This screen is a TIANMA brand 320*240 res screen.

the closest one i found was

Jeff soc, that looks like a bad LCD. Of course you want to make sure that all the cables are still properly attached, but ultimately I'd be prepared for a new LCD.

That's what i thought, where can i source a replacement ?

canon asked 160$ to only inspect it. probably another 100$ for a replacement screen.

if i can find a replacement module it would cost around 40$ and i don't mind doing it myself.

i've repaired cameras before.

here an idea maybe the powershot N screen (which is superior to this one ) will work, its a close fit 2.7" vs 2.8".

what do you think ?

Let's see if we can find a proper screen. I doubt that the N screen would work

took it apart to see if maybe it something with the cables. unfortunately, it's not but i have the screen part number now. maybe i can find a replacement.

dumping all the pics i took maybe someone could use it in the future.
