Wifi connection issue on hp laptop

My grandpa has a hp laptop and he is connected to his new wifi. He tries to open his browser and there is a connection issue. I tried command prompts. I need a quick answer

Update

Got the internet working. Grandpa just got a network cable. Doesn't matter cause he uses laptop on a desk anyways. Thanks for the answers

Try updating the drivers. You will need to download them from a separate computer then load them on with a flash drive. There are plenty of tutorials online if you need help updating them.

I agree with johnnklein14. Go to HP's website and in there support section enter your model number to find the proper driver for your wireless card. Download the drivers on a flash drive or external hard drive and install on the laptop. If using windows you can see what driver is being used and if it is functioning correctly by going to device manager in the control panel. The device manager is located in the sound and hardware settings.
