My ps4 won't turn after I heard loud pop.

my ps4 wont turn so i just bought a screwdrivre from this site to opn up my ps4. after opening it up and cleaning out all dust and a few roaches . i looked at each piece and nothing look bad. everything seemed fine. but stil wont turn on. should i replace the power supply for since it wont turn on? i just want other people advice before i spent any more money my ps4. i know nothing about how thi stuff works. so if you have any idea please say it. also i dont know if pop noise had anything to do with it. week before it broke it started making poping sounds.

I was playing my ps4 pro and walked away for a second and heard a loud pop sound. It scared me my fiance and my dog and I didn't know what it was till I looked at my ps4 and it wont turn on.

Replace the power supply. The roaches caused something to burn out. This is a very common problem with infested PS4's.

Can someone please tell me what Screwdriver you need to take off those bolts off on the ps4 and also I have the same problem all I want to do is open it to clean it and then send it to some one who can repair it. I’m curious , how much would a disk Repair and power supply cost for a fix just so I don’t get scammed for lots of money from the repair guy.

Replacing the disk in a PS4 is quite easy and can be cheap. Just the price of the drive actually. Maybe a screwdriver.

As for the screwdriver size etc. Check out the guides. Sony PlayStation 4

All guides explain which tools to use and what to look out for.

Also, if you find out your console is infested, USE GLOVES AND DISINFECT EVERYTHING.

I was watching YouTube on my PlayStation and I started to hear a sizzling noise in my ps4 and it had a burning smell. I unplugged it then plugged it back in. I turned it on and it made a loud pop noise.

Update I fixed it with a new power supply but 2 days later my power supply fried my motherboard so get a professional to fix it
