How thin of a Hard Drive can go in?

Hello,

I'm looking to upgrade my hard drive in my late 2008 Unibody Macbook Pro. I know 9.5 mm is the best size to put in. However I'm looking at putting in a Samsung 850 Evo 500 gb hard drive. The dimensions are 100 x 69.85 x 6.8 (mm) . So would 6.8 mm be to thin to put in?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

That's perfectly acceptable. The only thing you shouldn't put in there is one that's too big to fit in the bay.
