Is there a fuse that powers the digititizer?

I have an IPhone 5c with ios 8.3 that went through a clothes washing machine, then the owner tried to turn it on as soon as it came out of the washing machine. After replacing the battery the Phone would power up and show the lock screen, but the digitizer wouldn't work. I installed a working screen assembly from a known working device with no luck. The connections are dry, clean, and free of corrosion. The only thing I can think of is that something on the Logic Board is toast. We are trying to attempt to recover the pictures and videos from the device but can not due to the fact that we can not trust the incoming connection from the computer.

Has anyone on here experienced something similar and could shed any light on the situation?

Hi Kurt,

Your best bet would be to remove the screen assembly, then disconnect the power button and rear camera. Then remove the black tape covering the area around those connections. Be sure to slowly remove the tape and check the underside of it, if there are any fuses that fell off they will most likely be stuck to the tape. After removing the tape, take some 90% or better isopropyl and brush off the area around the connectors. Now take a magnifying glass and search the area for missing/loose fuses. You should find the culprit here.

Hope this helps

I did not notice any loose or missing fuses when I initially took it apart and cleaned it. I will double check when I get a chance. I am somewhat inclined to think that maybe there is a blown fuse or something else. I am curious if anyone knows exactly where on the logic board such fuses may be located so that I may check them.
