How do I perform a factory reset?

A factory reset will usually reset the device completely. First, you may want to try powering the device off by holding down the power button (located on the right hand side of the device) for 10 seconds (also referred to as a "long press"). This will completely shut off the device. If you still wish to perform a factory reset, the first step would be to backup the device to some type of external or removable storage (such as a usb or external hard disk, etc.).
