I replaced my screen and the click wheel does not respond.

I just replaced the display screen, while following details instructions. However, I found the connecting ribbons for both the display screen and the click wheel extremely difficult to reinsert.

It now seems the display screen is working well (connecting ribbon inserted good), but now the click wheel does not respond.

I dissasembled and attempted to reinsert the connecting ribbon for the click wheel once more, and is still is not responding.

Any suggestions?

i would check the hold switch first!

if that wont work. try to reset the ipod - press and hold the menu and the select button (at the same time) until the ipod restarts - this should take aroud 10 seconds.
