What is compatible hard drive replacement for iMac EMC 2389 with Samsung hard drive installed? (Hard drive model is Samsung HD502HJ, it's a factory installed hard drive.)

Options

Samsung HD group was bought by Seagate. If you want to replace it you can use a Seagate drive as the sensor cable connection is the same. If you want to use a different drive here is the Apple P/N's for the different sensor cables:

  • 922-9215, Hitachi
  • 922-9216, Seagate
  • 922-9622, Western Digital
