camera not working on record, never has,

Since purchase my tablet has not worked in the camera recording mode. Takes photos great. I love taking photos and videos and was one of the main reason for purchasing this Visual Land Elite 10Q. Is there a way to fix or do i need to return to company? I purchased insurance on tablet and should repair fee if necessary. Please can you help me.
