My dryer as above has locked out the power button......It is so vexing? Any suggestions?
What part of the dryer should I take apart to reset the buttons?

vexed, try this first:"
Press and hold for 3 seconds the "Control Lock/Unlock" button on the control panel to lock the control panel. Listen for a double beep and observe the "Control Lock" status light is lit when the control lock is in effect. Press and hold for 3 seconds the "Control Lock/Unlock" button on the control panel to unlock the control panel. The "Control Lock" status light is goes out when the control panel is unlocked.

A few weeks ago I tried this suggestion and it worked and since then my wife used it and the dust screen filled up and it stopped working. Since then I have flipped the circuit breaker and unplugged the machine and thoroughly cleaned the dryer but nothing starts.

So far, I have tried to use the above suggestions, but all to no avail. The dryer unit died end of June 2015 and the washer died mid July 2015. What could be the trigger to lock out the on/off panel.? Q: Are these appliances pre-programmed to die after XX number of uses, or could it be caused by a bump in the electricity flow?
I almost always used the dryer each and every time I used the washer.
Does anyone have an electrical circuit diagram for this washer/dryer? If the problem can be overcome by a code, what could the code be?
Unplugging and re-plugging doesnot seem to reset the front panel......Any other suggestions,? Does any one know if there is a reset button inside or underneath the metal exterior? Handigirl
