i bought a new battery on ifixit.com then i put the new battery into my ipod, it worked for a few minutes then the screen started to flicker im wondering if the battery could be burnt out even though its new??or what could be the case?

i would disassemble the ipod again, if the screen cable isn't connected right, it could also start to flicker.
i would never think that ifixit sell old batteries - but batteries can always have issues - even when they are new - new batteries must be charged when you get them - at least for 8hrs!

All of our batteries are sold new. What problems were you experiencing before the battery replacement? That would help me solve your current problem.
