Removing the metal plate from rearview mirror in a 1999 Buick Regal?

How to remove the small metal plate from the rearview mirror on a 1999 Buick Regal. The mirror fell off the glass with the metal button anchored to the mirror. How do you release it so it can be re-glued to the windshield?

there should be a small allen screw on the back of the mirror arm
