Display is frozen, but Kindle is working

Several days ago in the morning my kindle stopped reacting on power button. It shows only a screensaver.

I had used it in the previous evening. I didn't drop it, it has not any damages.

I tried to charge it all the day - it didn't help.

I tried to reset it(using power button and switch on mother board) - didn't help.

I suppose that it is working but doesn't show a picture.

When it is attached to PC I can browse Kindle file system. I even can update firmware.

The digitizer is malfunctioning. Call Amazon and ask them for advanced replacement. if you have warranty, they will be responding you and shipping out the replacement unit overnight.

Visit this page and check on the lower left side of the page that says "CONTACT US". They will be helpful to you. Good luck.

I don't have a warranty and I already opened it to check battery. I want to be sure that it is screen malfunctioning, it is strange that Kindle stopped working by chance, it doesn't have any damages.

My dad said that it is not damaged, but I have just opened it and found that screen is damaged from rear side (

Hi Igor, Try Press and hold, or slide and hold, the Power button for a full 40 seconds. Even after the screen goes blank, continue to hold for 40 seconds, then let go. Press or slide the power button to restart if the device does not start up again on its own.
