Why when i plug my ipod 5 into my macbook pro it shows up under itunes but will not charge... also i've been using a wireless charger with an adapter because apple doesn't have QI in it and it charged for a little more than a week then it wasn't charging.

I think I have an answer to your question I think it is because the wireless charger is foreign so it is not properly designed for The MacBook even though it may say it works so if you want to charge your iPod in your MacBook I would just stick to the standard charger not the wireless charger and if that does not work just charge your iPod in a proper outlet with a regular charger.
