How do I fix the battery connector on the motherboard?

I have replaced the battery on the computer and the small brick that is attached to the motherboard where the cable of the battery gets plugged in is no longer attaching to the motherboard. Any way to fix this issue? The computer runs perfectly fine as I installed a new copy of OS X Lion and the only issue that I am having is the battery; due to the connector issue the battery is unable to charge properly and the computer won't turn on unless it's connected to the power source.

Any way to fix this problem will be very much helpful.
