My screen does not work when I touch it. What could be wrong?

Sounds like the LCD panel. You'd have to change the LCD panel to get the touch responsive again. Usually ebay is the best place to buy a replacement. Cost is usually 25$-125$ depends on the phone. I'd say for your phone it's probably cheaper.
