ps3 yellow light of death.

I cant remove the mother board assembly from the rear case. I can lift up to the ac outlet. its like its been glued or melted together. Do you have any suggestions on ways to open it or should i just pry it open best i can? Also my ps3 is fairly different than the one one the site so i dont know if that has anything to do with it.

Edit:6/20

model code is: CECHG01

Heres what i was able to take off

The picture quality is kinda bad (sorry)but heres the problem

Im stuck on step 15 and i can only pull it up until lets say the A/V multi outlet, then it gets stuck. I've tried prying it a little but i"ve only made marks. I'm afraid if i pry too hard it'll break or shatter. If you can offer any help i'd be very thankful!

ernesto25, add some images of your PS3 with your question. That will allow us to see what you see. You should also add your model number to your question, so we can double check exactly what you have.

Just to make sure, you did check to ensure that all screws are removed. you also followed step 13 and 14? If so, double check by removing the cover for the PSU and see if there is an extra screw.

Yep, all 8. Mine did not have a control bracket though and the hdd bay cover was removed.

by

Did you check under the PSU cover as well?

I think its because i did this: https://youtu.be/50Qri-971so that the plastic melted together. So this might be the problem.

Yup, besides this trick not working, it is also possible that you caused some damage. You may just have to try and pry it out and then repair the damage to the plastic
