Removing old home button for a new screen?

So, I need to replace my iTouch's screen, but after ordering the two replacements parts for it, I found out that they did not come with a home button. I still have my old one, but now there's the question of getting it off and placing it and the metal disc underneath onto the new screen.

thats almost easy

remove the plastic frame from the old touchscreen and take the home button out, then remove the actual home hutton from the old frame and put both parts on the new frame. then install the new glass on the frame (be careful with the cable/connector on top!)

thats it - it takes something around 2 minutes to exchange the parts

oh, thanks..but my main concern is HOW to get the home button off, along with the part on the back of it(the electronic part that makes it work)

thats really easy - the "electronic part" is extremely easy - you will see ;-)

You need to separate the old digitizer from the frame that is glued on underneath it. The home button "electronic part" is also glued on and should peal off the old frame with enough adhesive left to adhere to the new frame.
