Check your Function or "F" keys. One of them should have a graphic of the touch pad with a line through it. Hold down the Fn key and press this one to disable or enable your trackpad.

tried this and nothing happened. I need to disable the touchpad because it's making my pointer icon jump all over the screen when my hand/wrist touched the pad while typing. help

I've having the same problem Brent D is having. When I'm typing my pointer is jumping around the screen. I can't get the touchpad disabled. I have no idea how to check for Asus smart gesture installation. Laura A.

Fn + F9 used to work, but every windows update enables it again. This latest seems to have disabled this combination completely. It's very annoying and causing me to lose a lot of work.

Hi If you are running Win10 have you got the latest ATK package and Smart Gesture software installed? Install the ATK package 1st before the Smart Gesture. Do not be tempted to install the other drivers. One problem at a time. If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Here is a link.

See the 'Note' on how to install.
