Washer won't fill with water.

My Kenmore 110 washer has trouble filling up with water. Whenever we set it to fill (hot and cold, doesn't matter) it sputters a bit and only pours in a little stream instead of the strong flow. What's happening?

Water Inlet Valve

If the washer fills very slowly, the water pressure from the house might be too low. If the pressure is good, try cleaning the screens inside the water inlet valve hose connection ports. If those are clean replace the water inlet valve.

Low Water Pressure from House Supply

Other Causes and Conditions

How it Works:

If the washer fills very slowly, the water pressure from the house might be too low. If the water inlet valve isn't leaking and there are no other symptoms this problem does not need to be corrected.

Might be a screen at water valve or water hose connection that is partially clogged up allowing only small stream of water to come in. Could also be a defective valve that is not opening all the way.

Can also just be because your washer is out of level

There’s a water droplet button inside my machine. If I press it the water begins to fill. I tested hot and cold this way. Also checked the inlet valves. They look fine. Water pressure appears to be ok when I turn valves on into the machine directly. The machine doesn’t fill when I run the wash cycles. I can hear the hmmm or bzzzz but the water doesn’t pour into the machine. Any idea what to do next?
