Why does cold water trickle in
The hot water works fine but cold water trickles in. It takes 3-4 hours to wash a load

phyllis moss, it is possible that you have an occluded filter. Remove the cold water hose and check the inlet on the washer side. there might be a brass screen that could be occluded. Remove that and give it a try. If you do not have such a screen or if it is clean, you are having issues with your fill valve. You can find the part as placeslike this. Could be filter screen at water valve or hose connection that is partially clogged up allowing only a small stream of cold water to come in. Also cold water valve could be defective and could be partially opening up.
