unable to burn movie files reports unsupprted files in idvd mode

I am unable to burn movies which has been downloaded from the t.v programmes through aver tv module,it says files are not compatible what is the procedure I should adopt please explain thank you NARAYANAN LAKSHMANAN INDIA
