How do I fix an unsoldered subwoofer? MacBook Pro 2010

Hi everyone,

My macbook pro subwoofer cable got de-solded some time ago accidentally.

Can this be repaired soldering it back? If yes, how should I operate? Which tools should I use? Is it safe as it should be soldered on the motherboard?

uchika96, looks like your solder pads are still in good shape. In that case anyone with a good soldering station and decent skills should be able to resolder it for you. Not to complicated.

Thanks for the answer, which iron soldering do you suggest?

you have soldered before? Any good soldering station would work, but they are a bit pricey. Consider sending it somewhere to get it fixed since you then will not have the cost of the tools.

I have soldered before on an xbox joystick so I know how it works, but since I am not that expert I wanted to know if it was safe to do it since it's on the motherboard. I have someone in my neighborhood I could ask for to help me, he should have the proper tools but I would like to know which iron fits this operation best.

This looks similar to my problem even if it's on the fan, do you think I can attempt this?

I'd recommend that you at least try to solder on a board you know longer need and practice your skills.
