Why is my laptop not turning on

Battery light is on but flashes red and blue before blue light stays on, then i press the power button to turn it on but the light goes off and no power to the laptop, what could the issue be?

Options

try to remove battery, then plug the power cord and start Laptor without battery. If laptop is start, then replace your battery, else try another power cord, and if laptop is not start then you need to repair mainboard (power supply block on motherboard).
