replace the front locking hubs 4x4 on a 1981 cj5 jeep

how do i replace the front hubs and what is best to replace with

driver side front hub cracked I need to replace it or both ??

what should I buy whan replaceing it or both

I saw in 1981 they used 5 bolt (this is 5 bolt) pattrens

is it better to go to 6 bolt what all do io need to change if I could do it

(I drive it in the pasture 3 times a year or so )

what all should I order and replace extra parts while I have it apart

is their a better place to buy and get informantion on how to get it done books, u-tub , video .

harrisonkats, stick with what you got for now. Replace both hubs at the same time. Use Warn hubs for a decent quality. Start off really thinking which way you want to go with your Jeep. Very important for you will be to determine which front axle you have, Dana 3o may be. Time to start learning to identify what you have and go from there. Remember that a good Jeep is built, not bought
