HP officejet 4500 scanner go to right side of printer and stuck?

model - hp office-jet 4500 printer when i turn on the printer the scanner go to right side of printer and stuck there continuously. and got error Scanner Failure' Message Displays on the All-in-One Control Panel and You Cannot Scan, Copy, or Fax... pls reply me fast.
