Camera app issues with front camera

Front facing camera issues. Camera app is missing option for front facing camera which was there only a week ago. Last update seemed to cause an issue. I went to access front camera and app froze and wouldn't work and had to restart phone. Similar issue using snapchat and trying to access front camera. I had this exact same problem before after water damage but the icon in the camera app came back.

What is wrong with my phone and how can it be fixed? I tried clearing camera data but it did nothing. Please help.

try backing up your phone and restore it. load your stuff and apps back in and see if that fixes the issue.

try using a RUU of the phone you have, if that does not work it must be physical damage to the camera
