Using duct tape as substitute for strips

I just fixed my iPhone 5c battery. Unfortunately, I messed up the strips for it so I used duct tape to fasten the battery to the iphone.

I just wanted to know if this is okay to do. Will it cause more heat in the iphone? thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

I don't know if, and i don't think i have ever said this before, duct tape was your best option. It may hold on to heat better than a different adhesive might have done. That being said unless you are experiencing overheating and there is no extra pressure on other parts because of the thickness, i think you should be ok.
