Why does my tablet have no sound?

My NuVision TM1088 has no sound output, even with the volume turned up.

Options

Make sure that you don't have anything plugged into the headphone jack. Also, metal debris in the headphone jack could short out the jack and the device will believe you have headphones plugged in.
