glass broken. All else works fine

can I change out just the glass or do I need the Assy.?

The glass is less than $10 and the Assy. Is just under $100

On the repair here. It doesn't show info on the LCD removal.

Jetfixer, sure you can. All you need is an LCD separator and a OCA vacuum laminator and a few other tools. As you can see, unless you have the tools and the experience, I suggest that you replace the complete assembly. Cheapest way to go is to actually let Apple do it for $109.

of couse you can, but the installation of any new part should be done by a qualified person.

I'm sorry. I was under the assumption we should be able to fix our own stuff. Just looking for a little insight.
