Why is my screen not working?

I replaced my screen, the Lcd, and the battery on my phone everything seemed to go as planded until i put it back together. When i turned it on the middle of the touch screen would not work and i could not hear on a phone call but they could hear me. On the touch screen it is a line right in the middle that goes from top to bottom about finger wide. I took it back apart to double checked my work. When i put it back i had a black screen but i could hear sounds and my phone would ring. What should I do?

the only answer that i can give you right now is to disassemble it again and check all connections - those connectors are sometimes "not that well" connected - so check everything again
