iPhone 4 Back Panel Mount Frame Missing

I recently bought a iPhone 4 back panel replacement and I got it today, but the bad news is that the back of the back cover is flat, nothing there, no mounting frame like: http://i28.tinypic.com/15o78lu.jpg

Can I remove the frame from my old iPhone 4 back cover and install it on the new on? Is it glued on?

This is really urgent, Thanks!

I removed the back plate then removed all the broken glass. Used paint thinner then denatured alcohol to clean up the rear frame, heat gun might work too. Then used a spray on interior adhesive on the glass protecting the camera/flash area

Update

used a small screwdriver, exacto knife blade as it has to be perfectly clean. Broke the first one as there was a small piece of glass I missed and looked again with a magnifier

Assuming Apple used the same design philosophy on the iPhone 4 as on the iPad, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G there is a double sided adhesive strip that connects the glass to the framing. If you follow Step 15-18 of this guide, you should be able to separate the two pieces.

I'd definitely like to know this too. There seems to be a $150 price differential between the plain glass sheets and the sheet affixed to the plate assembly. The former also seems not to have lenses to cover the camera and flash.

I've read elsewhere that the glass adheres to the rear frame with very strong double sided tape. Using a heat gun to soften the adhesive before removing the glass is supposed to help.
