Purchased part #IF 182-003-3. My old broken display has 3 tabs.

Old display has three tabs but none at top right looking at the front of phone. The display in the kit has a tab in all four corners. There is no slot for that tab on the steel body of my phone, so the new display cannot go on unless I cut off that fourth tab. Your instructions show the display with four tabs in the corners. Did I get the wrong kit? It said it was for the A1332.

Thank you.

Actually I found the answer to my problem. There is a slot for the fourth tab. However it has a block in it held by a little screw. Same size as the ones in the other three corners. Once the plastic block is removed the fourth tab is available and can be used. And the tiny screw that held the plastic block out is used to hold the fourth tab.

iPhone 4 has two screen types, iPhone 4S has one screen type. That is 3 screens for the iPhone 4/4S series.

iPhone 4 there is a GSM carrier screen, and the other is CDMA carrier screen. You must determine if you have iPhone 4 GSM, iPhone 4 CDMA, or iPhone 4S. These are 3 different iPhones, each with a different screen mount bracket. If you are certain you have an iPhone 4, and there is a SIM slot it is GSM iPhone 4 , if no SIM slot it is CDMA iPhone 4. So get the correct iPhone 4 screen. If you have iPhone 4S, get iPhone 4S screen.
