2 Why does my screen keep freezing?
Hold the home button down for 20 seconds and wait for your Kindle to fully turn off. Then turn the device back on by pressing the power button once.
After the hard reset is complete, exit out the running apps. This will help the system from being overloaded. Do this by touching the application button and tap on it. “Force stop” will appear and then confirm the exit. The app will close.
