Looking for some help with an upcoming guide.

I am working on researching an upcoming guide for a few of my friends and me who have this phone and would like help finding a ROM software that is compatible and can hopefully trick the device into thinking it is at a newer version of Android or remove version based restrictions, and improving performance. Thank you if you can help! And some help with replacing the display and a possible battery with a higher capacity than stock!
