How do I replace the battery connector?

I was replacing my HDD and I pulled too hard on the battery connector while removing the battery cable. The connector came off along with one of 5 metal pieces attached to the logic board. I know I'd just have to solder it if the metal piece (I think it's called a pin) was still there. Is it still fixable without it, or will I just have to get a new logic board?

Answer this question I have this problem too

You can buy the connector on eBay for like 7 bucks. You need a good soldering iron to do the job or take it somewhere that does repairs.

Would I have to do something about the stripped connector on the motherboard, or can I just solder it straight on?

Remove the pins and the solder the legs that come with the connector.
