Won't shut off blue screen is all I get.

Hi I have a Lenovo tablet I don't know model # it just says Lenovo on the back! but anyway I was playing a game on it one night and noticed that the upper left side was getting hot so I tried to turn it off, at first it wouldn't shutdown but after a few try's it finally did so I waited for about 30 minutes and tried to turn it back on but it wouldn't respond at lest that's what I thought? When I turned off the lights in my bedroom I noticed that it was on but no screen saver showed up, it's just a blue screen and it just stays on. It's not responding to anything iv tried as far as suggestion on line, can someone please tell me what I can do and is it fixable ??? In desperate need of help, I bought it for my 13 yr old son because I couldn't afford an apple iPad and he was just happy to get the Lenovo so now I'm sad for him if we can't fix it cause he needs it for homework and other things so please!
