black antenna cable broken during trying replace the battery

Hi Guys,

I am trying to replace the Ipad 3G battery, almost dead,

The black cable(see in picture( is dis-connected from the golden connector,

when I remove the display assembly from the back panel,

what is the function of this cable?

How can I repair it?
